Regular Nut

Features:

  • Square nuts have always been considered safest to use by utility linemen because of their large wrenching surface.
  • Regular nuts are used on all types of threaded bolts and insulator pins, while heavy nuts are used exclusively on anchor rods. 
  • Square nuts are manufactured in accordance with American National Standards Institute Specifications B18.2.2 and tapped Unified National Coarse Thread Series Class 2B after centrifugal hot dip galvanizing, oversize for galvanized bolts and rods.

Oval Thimbleye

Features:

  • Eyenuts are tapped to fit hot dip galvanized bolts made to ANSI Specifications and are designed to develop strength ratings consistent with the bolts with which they are used.
  • Thimble eyenuts are used for span, head and stub guying; twin eyenuts accommodate double guys.
  • Oval eyenuts are used for deadending with suspension or strain insulators.

Thimbleyelet

Features:

  • Eyelets, also known as Bolt Eyes, are used under the head or nut of a bolt. All are compatible with the strength of the bolts used with them.
  • Straight thimble eyelets are used for span guys while angle thimble eyelets are used for down guys.
  • Standard eyelets are used for deadending.
  • Standard eyelets and straight thimble eyelets have a slotted hole for ease in inserting the bolt.
